Full-Stack Developer

Succeed is an innovative Edtech platform designed to support high school students in their academic and career journeys. Launched in 2024, Succeed has quickly grown to serve over 20,000 active users worldwide. We connect ambitious students aged 14-18 with a dynamic ecosystem of competitions, events, expert content, and cutting-edge tools to help them prepare for the future.

The Role

We are looking for a full stack to take ownership of the technical evolution of the Succeed platform. You’ll play a key role in shaping our architecture, building new features, and ensuring our platform remains scalable and high-performing as we expand.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead technical decisions at a fast-growing EdTech startup, working closely with designers, leadership, and a passionate team committed to reshaping education.

What You’ll Do

• Own the technical development of the Succeed platform, ensuring a seamless and scalable user experience.
• Build and maintain high-performance integrations with external APIs to expand platform capabilities.
• Translate Figma designs into functional, responsive, and visually precise interfaces.
• Implement best practices for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Optimise the platform for scalability, ensuring it can support a growing user base.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes.
• Collaborate closely with the product, design, and content teams to create an intuitive user experience.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Cline.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Expertise in building and integrating APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases and scalable data structures.
• Experience with user authentication and authorisation systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Strong proficiency in WeWeb, Supabase, and Retool.
• Previous experience in EdTech or education-focused platforms.
• Product management mindset or experience working closely with product teams.
• Expertise in security best practices for handling user data.
• Experience building scalable systems to support thousands of concurrent users.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their integration into web applications.
